Apple announced Freeform, an infinite canvas app designed for collaboration and creativity, at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2022, but it is finally listed on the App Store — hinting at its impending release. The introduction of Freeform came as a surprise at WWDC, but it's part of Apple's ongoing effort to beef up its native productivity and workflow apps. In the past few years, it has refined apps like Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Mail. Advancements to the Notes app on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS have closed the gap between Apple's offerings and other third-party solutions. Now, Apple's take on the infinite-canvas style is coming to users with iOS 16.2.
